Dojo
The term "dojo" comes from Japanese, meaning "place of the Way." While it is commonly associated with martial arts training, its significance goes far beyond that of a mere training facility. A dojo embodies tranquility and focus, serving as a sanctuary for dedication, care, and personal growth — a space where visitors cultivate essential virtues such as humility, perseverance, and honour.
More than just a physical location, a dojo acts as a vibrant community hub where individuals come together to share their passion. "Alpina" relates to this location in the Alps, a breathtaking landscape that inspires awe and adventure. It's also a nod to the resilient plants that thrive in alpine regions, flourishing in the high mountains where few can survive. Equally, many will remember the legendary car brand Alpina, which emerged in the 1960s, celebrated for its exceptional high-performance automobiles — specialising in enhancing the performance, luxury, and aesthetics of existing cars, renowned for its craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.
In this same spirit of excellence and dedication, we approached the renovation of this remarkable 120-year-old farm. Our goal has been to enhance and preserve its timeless beauty through skilled craftsmanship, ensuring that every detail reflects a sense of luxury and respect for its rich history.
